Founded in Caroline County, VA in 1902 with just $2,500, Atlantic Union Bank grew from a single rural branch to 182 banking offices and approximately 200 ATMs located throughout Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and DC.  With the recent acquisition of Access National Bank, American National Bank, Sandy Spring Bank and Xenith Bankshares, Atlantic Union Bank is the first Virginia-based regional financial institution in nearly 20 years.
