Virginia Tech Manufacturing Day

Virginia Tech Dept. of Mechanical Engineering is hosting Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 4th in Goodwin Hall Atrium from 9:00am – 2:00pm. This event is open to the public, and local manufacturing businesses are encouraged to attend and/or participate.

There are many ways to get involved, such as:

• Poster Session
• Table showing parts manufactured
• Demonstrations
• Seminar
• Lab Tour
• Recruiting table

If you are interested in participating in an event at Manufacturing Day, please contact Diana Israel at disrael@vt.edu. Please indicate the items you are interested in and your requirements, such as a table, chairs, easel, room, transportation, etc.

If you would like to host a lab tour, please contact Diana with the following information:

• What times are you able to host visitors? (E.g., Open House (9:00am-2:00pm); Specific times with start/end tims (9:00am-10:00am; 11:30am-12:30pm), etc)
• How many students ca attend at once?
• Provide a short (1-2 sentence) description of what the lab is and what students will see/learn.

Provide a point of contact (name and email) for the lab tour.
