This meeting will provide a focused briefing on legislation affecting the chemical manufacturing sector following final action by the Governor and General Assembly.

This includes legislation related to expanding PFAS regulation and monitoring, incorporating environmental justice into planning and permitting frameworks, establishing new product-level chemical restrictions and labeling requirements, and imposing operational and infrastructure-related mandates affecting industrial supply chains.

During the meeting, we will review what passed, what changed, and what it means from an operational and compliance standpoint. We will also briefly discuss key federal developments—particularly ongoing EPA actions related to PFAS regulation and reporting—and how they may intersect with Virginia’s new requirements.
