Description

Join the Virginia Manufacturers Association on Monday, February 1, 2027, for the 4th Annual Makers in the Square, VMA's annual advocacy day at Virginia's Capitol Square. This signature event brings manufacturers from across the Commonwealth together with legislators and policymakers during the General Assembly session to highlight manufacturing's importance to Virginia's economy and future workforce.

The day begins with a breakfast reception inside the General Assembly Building, where manufacturers can connect directly with elected officials, legislative staff, and industry leaders while showcasing the products, technologies, and innovations being made in Virginia today. From advanced materials and consumer products to transportation, aerospace, energy, and shipbuilding, Makers in the Square demonstrates the breadth and impact of Virginia manufacturing.

Participants will have opportunities to:

• engage with legislators
• observe General Assembly proceedings from the House and Senate galleries
• help elevate manufacturing's voice on the issues that matter most to Virginia employers

The event also celebrates the companies and products that exemplify manufacturing excellence across the Commonwealth, including competitors in the 2026 Virginia Manufacturing Cup, the competition to find The Coolest Thing Made in Virginia.

Whether you are a manufacturer, supplier, industry partner, or advocate for Virginia's industrial economy, Makers in the Square offers a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships with policymakers and showcase the innovation driving manufacturing forward.
