Freedom to Work Pledge


Virginia’s Right-to-Work law has safeguarded a workers’ freedom of choice for more than 75 years. Today, that freedom is under attack by those who would force Virginians to join a union and pay union dues as a condition of their employment. This is a deeply personal decision that should be left to every individual – not a politician.

By signing the Freedom to Work Pledge, you are sending a message of unity to other Virginia manufacturers, workers, and elected leaders that defending an employee’s choice of employer, labor union, and financial contributions must be protected. Keep the Commonwealth competitive!

I pledge to defend Virginia’s Right-to-Work law (§ 40.1-58 et seq., Code of Virginia), which guarantees that no worker shall be forced to join or pay dues to a union as a condition of employment.

I support preserving this freedom of choice for all Virginians, equally protecting jobs, and ensuring our Commonwealth remains a competitive place to live, work, and do business.

Sharing your employer is optional and helps us connect your pledge to Virginia’s manufacturing community. We will never publish or list your employer as a supporter.

The MFG Champions Network is the grassroots arm of VMAPAC that advocates on behalf of Virginia’s manufacturing community by supporting legislative and regulatory policies that strengthen manufacturing competitiveness.
