Sumitomo Machinery Corporation Plant Tour

Join us for a tour showcasing Sumitomo’s various manufacturing capabilities on Tuesday, October 6! See shaft and gear manufacturing, steel fabrication and welding, and walk through Sumitomo's state-of-the-art Power Institute. Guests will also have the opportunity to view the assembly and aftermarket areas. Lastly, see Sumitomo’s impressive distribution center in action. After the tour, guests are invited to network over light refreshments.

Since 1966, Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America has served the United States by providing local sales and support to customers in industries unique to our region, such as food and beverage, parcel handling, automotive, and mining. The Chesapeake, VA, location is the U.S. headquarters, and it features manufacturing, assembly, research and development, and warehousing.

  • Safety shoes are required. Shoes will be provided should you not have your own. Please wear closed-toe shoes, as open-toed shoes and heels are not allowed.
  • Safety glasses are mandatory. Safety glass will be provided should you not bring your own.
  • Cell phones are not allowed in production areas.
  • Guests must be at least 18 years old.
